Is Printerhive or 3D Print Manager better for a print farm?
They focus on different jobs. Printerhive controls the printers: it starts prints from a queue, picks a printer and shows the camera. 3D Print Manager runs the business around them: filament stock, webshop orders, work orders, quotes and invoices. Some farms need the first, some the second.
Can 3D Print Manager start prints on my printers?
No. It records what the printers report through 3DPM Agent or Home Assistant and never starts, stops or sends a job. If you want remote printer control, that is Printerhive's side.
Does 3D Print Manager issue invoices?
Yes, on FARM Connect: a quote from the work order and an invoice from the quote, as a PDF or through Minimax. Printerhive's public documentation describes no invoicing module (checked 4 October 2026).
Which webshops does each one import orders from?
3D Print Manager: Shopify, through a webhook you add in the Shopify admin, and WooCommerce and PrestaShop, through a plugin in your shop. Printerhive lists Shopify, WooCommerce, Upgates and Allegro, plus CSV.
